How many times do you get blood drawn for the GD test? Is it once before the test than an hour after the drink? Or just once an hour after the drink?

Ok that's what I thought but then I saw someone talking about how they got blood drawn first as well. So I didn't know if that was normal

For 1 hour it's just once after. For the 3 hour it's before and then hourly, so 4x total.

i got my orders for it yesterday they just mentioned a blood draw afterwards

Yeah I had to do the 3 hour and it definitely wasn't fun at all. I about passed out in the end my blood sugar was only 40 when I left 😮 Needless to say my arms hurt too!

@jacesterlingsmommy, I bet! I have HG and so I've was on IVs for a month straight before getting my PICC line placed. And have a Zofran pump that I have to stick into my sides every day. I hate needles so much but with this pregnancy I feel like a pin cushion.
