I am far for my DD. But I'm considering birth options(got to do my research). I'm considering natural because I hear it's quicker than getting a epidural, and that a epidural takes days to recover from.. I'll be in school. So I need to bounce back. I've heard woman say that after delivery with a natural birth they felt fine, & some left that same day, without feeling sluggishness but felt the same prior to birth besides soreness in vagina. But from the ones w/ a epidural it took days to recover, and was the hospital longer.

@rocd, that's not true. I've delivered both ways natural and with an epidural and was in the hospital the same as of time (24 hours) and I never had issues after receiving my epidural. I was up and walking hours after all my deliveries. Some people just bounce back quicker; others it takes longer.

I had an epidural and 2 hours after my daughter was born, I was walking around the hospital and a week PP, I was in the gym working out. Like @tlackamp said, some people bounce back faster

i had epidural and was up walking after two hours as well but everyone is different and I only stayed two nights my doctor wanted to keep me another night cause it was my first baby but I told her I was okay to go home if she was okay with letting me go. but it all depends on the hospital doctor and you and the baby.

I had and epidural and ended up having a c section. I was walking a couple of hours later and actually left the hospital early. You really don't know what kinda labor you will have until it happens. I wanted a vaginal birth but our son had other plans. No matter how much you plan and trust me I planned. I'm pregnant with my second and have to have another c-section.

I had an epidural and was out of the hospital the next day, no side effects at all
