mommies with gestational diabetes what do you eat will you get induce ? does having gd will make you get preclampsia sorry if spelled wrong do you get big babies with gd like over 8lbs? been pregnant 5 times with one miscarriage but first time with gestational diabetes don't know what to do or what to expect

I am a first time mommy & was diagnosed with gd over a month ago. I have been seeing a dietician , on meds (low dose) checking my sugar, logging what I eat. I am getting a growth ultrasound around every 3 weeks I went this last Friday & baby is measuring under 5 pounds. They didn't mention any concerns as of now still no mention of c section. I will start getting the non stress test weekly as well just to be safe.

just because you had gd doesn't mean you'll have a big baby just higher risk. they may want to induce you because you are high risk but doesn't mean you'll have a csection. you'll just be monitored a little more closely to watch your baby's development and you have to watch what you eat a little more
