I don't get how someone will get another persons name tatted on them.... Why. Why?

I don't have any tattoos but would never get someone else's name on me besides my kids. my mom always said getting another persons name is bad luck for a relationship, and you truely never know of you'll be with that one person forever.

Lol I have done it before. I think people live 'in the moment' too often. We don't realize, this good feeling about someone may not last. We think it'll be forever, so we get tattoos to invest how sure we are that this is forever. Yep, got mine covered up lol

i have my husbands name tattooed on me and he has mine on him. i plan on staying with him forever so i have no worry about having the tat

I have a matching diamond on my thumb from an ex and that's bad enough 😂 but my son's name is on me twice lol

I have my SO's came, I was 19 and impulsive. We had only been dating for 6 months. Now we're going on 2 and a half years, but I'm getting it removed.. feels like I branded myself. We're all human.

I have my husband name and my kids

I have a heart and my husband has the key. I never regret it even if we did part. it's part of my history

we were friends first since kindergarten and really close and got them then dated and now r married expecting our first born son. he was my best friend and there through some really hard times

I was young (19) and I thought he was the love of my life. But when he got 2 women pregnant and robbed my house, I figured out he wasn't lol But I felt so badly that I had to prove my love to him, so I got his name on me. The funny thing is, the tattoo artist refused to do it unless he was permitted to make the name small. He told me that I would be back for a cover up within a year and he wanted to make it small so he could cover it easily lol He remembered me when I came back a year later too! 😂😂😂

Unfortunately I have my SO and sons name on me, but to be honest I want all of my tattoos removed.

i fell in love with my husband and i know itll be forever, funny thing is, he tattooed my name on himself before we got married so he has my old last name on him lol. plus if.anything ever happened i really dont think id be with anyone else....id have our baby girl to take care of. and no one could ever replace my husband

@daij, we took that step together I take my marriage serious until death do us part and as for my children I did it cause I wanted to have it if I can have their father's name I can have theirs as well. Would I do it differently no even in my career I decided hey I'm doing this for me.

I think when its your Husband (or someone you've been with for years and you both trust one another) to me that's different. I did get the nickname I call my Husband on my wrist and my name is on his chest.

Even for my husband i only have initials and our wedding date. He has a pic of me and "my great one michelle" on his chest!! I don't think he'll ever try to leave lmao!!

I felt like I met the love of my life the moment I met him. I still don't think that's a reason to get a tattoo but hey you live and learn. We're having our first child together and getting married next year.
