How do you start giving your child whole milk ..when how much... My son is on soy formula do I give him soy milk... My doctor said I can't start introducing whole milk at 11 months well I gave him 2oz whole milk 6oz formula and did that for two days and he had the worst poops and gave him horrible diaper rash so we stopped I'm thinking milk doesn't agree with him he has been on soy formula since he was about 2 weeks old

I'd try soy the next time you do give him milk, some babies take a little time to adjust to milk tho so maybe that could be why as well

Agreed with @cubanese Cows milk isn't actually good for us. We were just conditioned to believe it was.

My daughter can't have milk for the same reason, diaper rash and constipation. Even when I breastfed I had to cut dairy out of my diet. We tried to reintroduce her to whole milk as she approached 1 yr but it just doesn't agree with her. So we give her soy milk and still do. She will be 2 next month

@cubanese, yes girl! @carsonsmomma if you really want to give baby regular milk, try goats milk. It's much better.

Cow milk isn't good for us because it's now being produced and pasteurized in factories. Back then it was the old fashioned farmers way and we been fine. Goat milk is actually better plus I think it nearly impossible to be allergic to goat milk

@cubanese, yes! We try to be a little crunchy and get as organic as possible. We don't vax nor do we take man made crap medicines unless it's dire emergency. All the processed crap makes people sick.

@cubanese, @losmartinez16 I have never heard such a thing what do y'all give your one + year olds my son does not still have teeth and is slower to gettin. Hand to mouth so he doesn't eat many table foods so I'm confused what I'm supposed to give him other then just baby food

We started at a year and did half and half for only about a week just for the transition. My doctor told me she didn't even need it everyday but that was because she was such a good water. It may be a good question for your doctor to see what's recommended for your baby
