Quick question for mamas who have had summer babies... I ordered a car seat canopy from carseatcanopy.com so it's the one with the minky fabric inside... Did you use that kind of canopy for the summer months? Or did you use something lighter for the summer months and then switch once it started getting colder?

for the summer, you really don't need a cover because its so hot and you don't want to over heat them. save it for when its colder or windy. if you want something for sunlight, just use a receiving blanket since its really light

Something lighter for sure. I only used a Muslim blanket during the summer my son was born July 2

I did what @edomke did, my son was a May baby but would get hot very easy

@kelseys, I plan to definitely still use something especially in stores and such to keep people from poking and prodding... But will use just a receiving blanket or muslin blanket.
