I had to use those things for a month! then heavily bled for another 6.5 months. I'm an odd case though.

hospital will give them to you and some to take home.

just take whatever they have in the room so you have extra when you leave if you bleed heavy

I bled very lightly after delivery and honestly could have used regular panty liners, but I took a ton of these home with me from the hospital so I used them just in case it got heavy at any point. Just ask the nurses and they will send you home with a ton

@optimusviolet, plus, it's one more thing you don't have to worry about buying if you ask for a lot when you're sent home :) they weren't that comfortable...but I mean, how could they be (hahaha) but I didn't have to spend more money buying smaller ones 👍🏼
