She doesn't seem to understand the severity of the situation or what she's really saying. Some babies won't do well born at 37 weeks, where others will. Saying it's safe to induce labor at 37 weeks, knowing what doctors say is safe nowadays, is ignorant.

@ginnalynn, @sarahemccormick Half the time babies don't even measure where we are at. Ultrasounds most of the time are a guesstimate and can be farther along or behind. Just irks me.. 😣 I'm 38 weeks, almost 39 and my boys are measuring at 36! I know it can be different with twins but all in all it can happen with one baby I'm sure. The ignorance is what's jerking me.

I never knew all the stuff like that.. I just go by the fact hey say she's a healthy baby. Ftm an I never know what to expect that's why I like this app cause I learn new things everyday

oh I know, ultrasounds aren't always accurate. The morning of the day I had my csection, my baby was measuring 4 lb 3 oz. He was born 5 lb 5 oz. Ultrasounds are usually off in some way, shape, or form.

I'm 36 weeks along (37 weeks this Saturday) and my son has measured small since week 20 at my anatomy scan. he's measuring at 34 weeks right now, so I've basically been begging him to stay put until 40 weeks

@sarahemccormick, @ginnalynn I was expecting my twins to come early.. Like I said the "ultrasound said" they were measuring 36 weeks and six pounds some odd ounces each. They'll probably come out a lot smaller I think.. I'm so tiny unless they are completely compact in there, there is no way they are six pounds one almost seven.. But hey, I could end up being wrong! The fact they've been in there this long is frustrating to say the least but I guess they gotta do what they've gotta do!

they'll come when they're ready, your OB/midwife will know when it's safe to induce you if they don't try to come on their own.

@ginnalynn, my specialist said I can have them at 38-39 weeks but my OB is telling me they'll come when they come now but I won't let you last 40 weeks. I'm like.. Woo... Haha Miserable City over here. 🤘🏻

Personally, I find it selfish in a way when people try to induced theirselves when they have a healthy pregnancy. I know we all have discomforts but I rather deal & have a healthy baby at 40 weeks. At this point I'm crossing all fingers I make it to 40 weeks. Unless your baby needs to be delivered early for medical reasons, I say let them keep growing and maturing in your womb until he/she is ready.

I can't say that I know exactly what you mean since I'm not having twins, but I know that once you get to the point that we've gotten to in our pregnancies things can be very uncomfortable @twinmama_navywife I'm just hoping this little boy of mine stays put for a little while

I think I got blocked by her lol @kelseys but go ahead and let her talk. I'm in the medical field and actually know that 37 weeks is NOT considered full term anymore. telling women that it's perfectly safe to try to self-induce at 37 weeks when you aren't a doctor is very wrong.

I told her, if you had one miscarriage, and you're still pregnant, how do you have two kids? and she said that she said her cousins have two/three kids, even tho she said I HAVE TWO KIDS I KNOW WHAT FULL TERM IS. I reported her, and Peggie said one more thing and she will be banned.

her water didn't break, there's no way in hell that she would be sent home after that! too great a risk of infection! this girl is too much, I hope other people see through her lies @kelseys

@ginnalynn, well some girl commented saying that she should give birth with 24-48hrs or something because its not good, but I know there are cases where the water leaks but most of the time they're either in the hospital being monitored or giving birth, maybe on bed rest at home of its not that bad.

she asked what to do because the ob just said she's high risk. like your ob should've told you what should be done. and if she has those problems I'm sure she would be being monitored
