I told her what I wanted to name the baby and she said "no way, that's too black". Um excuse me? Since when are you a racist mom what the hell. Then she tells me she has a say because it's her granddaughter, I was like no. Sorry.

My SO said all my names were "white." I don't get how that makes sense. Ive had a few people that tell me they don't like the name I picked before but I could care less. If they are bothered so much, why don't they have their own kid so they can name him/her whatever they want.

My MIL says the name we picked is the stupidest fucking name she's ever heard, ha! Makes me love just that much more.

My mom told me my sons name sounded dumb, and told the whole family. She even claimed during the whole pregnancy, she would call him by his middle name. When the day came, I told her if she tried to call him by his middle name, I would not bring him around her. She loves him more than ever, and has a whole new perspective on his name...thank goodness

We are keeping her name secret from everyone. They don't get to know her name until she is born. Of course my husband & I know & call her by her name at home but that way no one can give us their opinion.
