@kejs0911, Echogenic intracardiac focus (EIF) is a small bright spot seen in the baby’s heart on an ultrasound exam. This is thought to represent mineralization, or small deposits of calcium, in the muscle of the heart. EIFs are found in about 3-5% of normal pregnancies and cause no health problems.

EIFs themselves have no impact on health or heart function. Often the EIF is gone by the third trimester. If there are no problems or chromosome abnormalities, EIFs are considered normal changes, or variants.

Yes my doctor told me it's not usually anything to worry about. He offered to send me to a specialist both times but said he only really recommended it if it was something I was gonna stress about, which it wasn't, or if I was at a higher risk for carrying a Down syndrome baby. My daughter is going to be 2 next month, healthy as can be and I'm expecting my son any day now.

I think you'll be ok. Honestly my doctor is super down to earth, that's why I like him so much. But it's not something to stress about. For me I wasn't stressed and I didn't tell anyone about it, besides my husband, because I didn't want anyone to stress me out about it either.
