So I just watched a girl like her and I can't stop crying now! Why can't we protect our children…

I watched it too yesterday I am sorry you had to go through that but I just see myself as someone that can't be bullied lol I swear if I were Jessica I would beat the crap outta Avery I swear she would be the one scared of me for real @1sttimemummy

I'm more of a fighter now but, when I was younger I just wasn't. It was coming from family as well as people from school though so I just took it as that's what's true and didn't fight it :/ If you can make it through it though life does get better :) @paula91

Yea I was never bullied in high school I was more mean looking and no body dared me my class mates were scared of me but I never bullied anyone

I started to watch it but couldn't make it through 20 minutes.. had to turn it off.

I will never understand kids and why they do shit like that. and yes, there are adults who do it too which is really pathetic!! it just makes me sick to see that and I pray my kids don't deal with it or cause it! I pay a lot of $ for them to go to a Catholic school, I know it could happen anywhere but the public schools in Milwaukee are absolutely horrible!!!

@michellevaldez4750, The schools in Wyoming and in Colorado are terrible too!! I really want to send mine to the online schools but, my husband disagrees with that :/

Would he be willing to at least try it? Maybe make a deal to try each for a time and see where they do best??

He isn't open to it at all right now but, he usually comes around to at least trying things to see if they work once he's had time to think about it. He just feels like then they won't have friends but, they can do sports and other activities to build friendships!

@michellevaldez4750, and he worries that then they won't know how to handle bullying when they get older. I feel like we can teach them that and when they encounter it when they're older they'll be mature enough to better handle the situation.

I agree with you one hundred percent as long as they have team sports they will have plenty of opportunity to make friends and I'm sure you have friends with kids who they will play with sometimes the kind of kids they meet in school aren't really the kind of kids you want them playing with anyway. my husband feels a little bit like yours when it comes to being able to handle bullying because they really don't have an issue with that at all where they go to school butts Tumi the fact that they're going to a great school is going to set them up to go to a great College and then they'll get a great job and chances are they won't have to deal with it anyway

I actually don't have any friends here :( The struggle of living away from where you grew up...but still they'll have sports or other hobbies to make friends. I agree with you most of the kids they would meet at school aren't kids you want them around anyway. I also don't feel the teachers are the best in public schools so I think it would be better for them to have one on one with online schooling or just smaller schools. Although I went to a small school and was bullied terribly so I would prefer online haha

right! The teachers don't do anything either! They look the other way. you'll make friends with other moms at the park, zoo, museums etc. Most of the ppl I talk to now I just met in the last few years :)

I was bullied in kindergarten 1st and 2nd grades. Idk why but the other girls didn't like me, I switched schools because of a border issue and I was upset at first but it turned out great. I made good friends at the next school :)

@michellevaldez4750, and the public school system doesn't teach much anymore either. They've taken out so much like in history it's ridiculous! I hope so haha I'm so tired of not having friends haha I'm glad you weren't bullied for too long and that switching schools helped! I was bullied from 1st until I graduated and I've run in to it even as an adult with my husband's ex's. I was bigger and still am fuller I guess you could say haha so the boys and girls in school and an uncle of mine bullied me for it. I hope I can prevent that with my children. It's really damaging to be bullied your whole life. Not that it ruins you or you can't move past it but, it does cause issues :/

omg you are gorgeous! ppl had to have been jealous! especially the ex's. and in school I really think girls especially are mean to other girls when they're threatened by them. it's so messed up the way kids act :( and yeah, some adults too. I've seen a lot of cliquiness and cattiness in office settings. I'm blown away by the way these women act!!!

You know what's crazy too is even though I was only bullied by like 3 girls for such a short time it still affected me, even to this day I think about it and wonder wtf was wrong with me! lbvs!!

Thank you haha 😊 It makes me really sad that people act that way. We should try and build another up and help people out, not tear them down! I'm glad it's gotten better as I've gotten older though! There are definitely still those cliques but, those women just make me sad and are MUCH easier to avoid as an adult haha

Thank you :) I feel the same way though, I actually feel sorry for the ppl who act like that. It must be really shitty to be so negative all the time :) and they really are easier to avoid now as an adult. I think I freak ppl out sometimes because I do try to give compliments any time I get the chance. I know how it makes me feel to get complimented by strangers so I try to make others feel good too :) I wish there were more ppl like you and I in the world!!!!

I actually asked an old lady if she needed help with her groceries one time when I first moved to Denver and she thought I was trying to rob her! I know it's not a compliment but, where I was going with that is it's like unheard of to do kind things here. It makes me really bummed out.

yup, I saw a situation like that last week at dollar store. There was an elderly white lady and she was having trouble with her cart. a young black man walked up to help her and she freaked out on him! I felt so bad for the guy who you could clearly see had his feelings hurt! :'(

@michellevaldez4750, That's really sad! I probably would've went up to her and been like he was clearly trying to help you! Then went up to the young man and been like that was very kind of you to try and help! Ugh! Some people! Haha

She was one of those women who you could tell just had her mind made up and you couldn't reach at all. but everyone there at the time gave him a smile and a look like they understood and felt for him!

exactly :( and when you're dealing with someone in their 70's their mind is pretty much made up.
