If they can't see the baby clear enough then they'll just do a vaginal ultrasound. I never worried about having a full bladder because that was always the other option
My OB makes me drink water before because they want a full bladder. It sucks because they're pushing on your bladder and you're like 5 seconds away from peeing your pants haha

I always go with a full bladder ! you don't have to but I feel like you can see baby better!
