My fiancé always gives me money every week he gets paid (every Friday) and it's his choice but he chose to do it and it's helps so much because I'm a Stay at home mom and it helps a lot with me buying whatever I need for the children or for the house while he's working since he works Monday through Friday 1pm to 11pm (all day literally) so he gives me between $50-$100 a week.. And whenever I need more I just ask and he gives it. It's a huge help.

I don't think you're wrong per say, but i don't think he has to just give you money. Many people work and go to school at the same time. It would be nice if he contribute if you need something, but asking for an "allowance" basically because you're his girl sounds a bit.....basic

You are right for feeling that way "a man" shouldn't have a problem providing for his family and giving you money is just the same if you're having his child.

I agree with you. My bf doesn't want me working for the rest of my pregnancy so I've been home, he pays for everything we need and gives me money weekly.

Ok well with more information to the story....then no i don't think that it's wrong of you to expect that he give you a little something for yourself. That's understandable.

I definitely get what you're saying. I work and go to school but my hours at work have been so rocky and insufficient lately and it's not enough and I have legit bills that have to be paid, my child's father works WAY more hours than me at a higher pay rate and has no bills other than his phone bill (which is only 40 dollars a month) and he doesn't give me anything when he knows and I've occasionally subtly brought up when I need money for a bill from time to time and he still won't give it to me and that's all I ever ask him for money for, but then he goes and blows his money on stupid stuff like new clothes he doesn't need or lotto tickets and stuff, and then turns around and expects me to be able to help him out of financial issues when he has them. I don't think you're wrong if you're asking him for financial help especially when you guys have created a family at this point.

You're not wrong at all! My fiancé is the only source of income right now since he wants me to focus on the baby & go to school after she's born. He leaves the debit card with me while he works so I can get groceries, cat food, cleaning supplies, etc. when we need it. It's definitely a fair trade since I cook dinner every night & do laundry & house hold duties everyday!
