I was on it for 3 1/2 years in my opinion WORST bc ever when my husband and I wanted to try for a baby took us over a year, not only that I gained almost 100 lbs on that and I'm still trying to get it off. Everyone has their own side effects to birth control, my dr at one time told me the longer you're on it the more damage it can do. Now I have a three year IUD and I love it
@kreese88, i got mine in march which was my first time and next month is my next shot , I feel like I can't atop eating I'm hungry right now lol. but I've been bleeding for like 2 weeks already and its disgusting! tho its not that bad I use one pad a day but still I'm sick of it
I eventually never got my period after a few months I mean I liked that I only had to get it every three months I just didn't like the weight gain ugh plus I was always eating LOL @k.haotic
I personally didn't like it, had spotting/bleeding every day basically the whole time I was on it. I only got like 3 shots, then I stopped it. But I was one of the very few that lost weight on it!
I wouldn't recommend IUD's they can become imbedded in your cervix 😣 I went on the pill after the shot I only had to take it like 12 of days out of the month. But I was prescribed antibiotics on it and no one reminded me that it makes your bc defective and I got pregnant 😶
Yes. It worked well up until I took antibiotics. No weight gain, or severe moodiness or crazy other symptoms. And I only had to take it I think 12 or 15 days out of the month. Still got your period. If you are looking for something where you aren't going to get your period they have pills for that. I know some people don't like pills cause they forget to take them. But just set an alarm on your phone for everyday. Otherwise stick with depo and see how you feel about it after a couple shots.

Yeah over a year but I was also in the depo longer then I should have been
