Thoughts and opinions?: What are some mommies/mommies to be thoughts on making birth plans? I know some probably think it's pointless or silly because when it comes down to it you never know what's going to happen or when, and the doctors and nurses will do whatever's medically necessary regardless of what's in some written wishes or orders that you make up and give them. Did anyone here make one? And if so around how many weeks were you when you made or started to make it and what did you include? I honestly think my birth plan if I made one would be more for my immediate relatives and child's father who will be in the room just so that they kind of have an idea of what I want and don't want and we don't play the "well I didn't know" game or just in case God forbid something happens and I'm unable to communicate with the doctors or nurses for some reason so that they can know what to tell the doctors if need be as opposed to making all these papers to hand to doctors and nurses who have an entire floor full of other laboring mommies to tend to in addition to me. What do you ladies think?
