make sure sterile procedure is followed during dressing changes and proper technique is used during medication administration! don't want you getting a bloodstream infection! you are your best advocate!
@canaryv, I have Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Basically I've lost over 20 lbs because I've been unable to keep sufficient food or liquid down since week 6 of pregnancy. I have been on IV fluids and nutrients for over a month now. But IVs have to be changed every few days and are temperamental. So since I'll need this long term they put in a PICC.
