I used a basket and she was only in it 5 weeks then I had to buy a swing crib as she seemed to small for her cot wish I had just bought the crib now as only used our basket for 5 weeks such a waist but I passed it on to family so not to bad Xxx
Will do! @sammie-x I don't want to buy a cot until the baby is around 6mths old as we are planning to move to a bigger house after Xmas! 🙈 so ideally the baby needs to stay in our room until 6mths or until we move to a 3 bed house lol xx
@quelle-y-chiffre, oh bless you I hope it goes well for you! I'm sure it will and thank you I think I will ask for a crib, mother in law is buying it for us lol xx
@sammie-x, If I had to do it again, I'd get a crib rather than a moses basket because my little girl is 11 weeks and is too big for her moses basket, keeps waking herself when stretching etc. I wish I had a crib so she could stay in our room longer but I think I'm going to move her into her cot tonight. Scary, lol xxx
I really want a snuz pod or chicco next to me crib but don't want to pay £150-£200 for something that will only be used for 6mths max...gonna hopefully get a decent 2nd hand one off ebay lol I'm planning on a bouncer that reclines for downstairs or carrycot from.the pram for sleeping during the day downstairs @sammie-x x
Exactly you know what's best for you and your baby!! Sometimes it's good to hear what others think but at the end of the day your the one who is caring for your child! @stephy95 thank you again xx
@sammie-x, for me personally a big help as I will be downstairs most of the day but cause of chronic back pain I can't really carry the moses basket up and down the stairs..my family think I'm crazy for getting both but they don't realise it's changed days..last baby born into our immediate family was over 16 years ago, if they had their way things would be back in the 90s haha!xx
@sammie-x, iv checked it and says it's ok to its on the highest level and iv not put anything in there other than 2 teddy bears that are at bottom of cot and the cot mobile which is top end so won't be directly over baby xx
@zoereddish-smith, yeah that sounds good so many people panic about the cot situation at birth but if the baby is happy then that's all that matters xx
Yeah I don't have room for swinging crib due to layout of room so iv got mosses basket for downstairs and hopefully I can use the cot from birth for upstairs xx
Thank you ladies @k-wood90 @zoereddish-smith I think that's why I'm thinking crib as a lot of people have said to me babies grow out of the Moses basket so quickly xx
I'm not planning on having a moses basket again this time as my son only spent 6-8wks in it last time...hoping for a crib that will last til around 6mths :) x
