What's again I don't have experience with formula feeding bc i am a breastfeeding mother. however i was only telling what I have seen myself as well as at the hospital experience. they do give you a 2oz bottle and tell you to feed the baby but of course not the whole 2 oz but believe me i have seen babies at their first day or second day of their birth drink a whole 2oz bottle at once. yes I guess we all need a pill chill 😂😂😂

Feeding a 3 day old 4 oz is way too much, even with formula. @princess_intheoven16

relax those are diagrams depicted to illustrate an average amount of how much babies eat that's all lol @tinushja84 @meagansimome they are an example of how big a babies belly is and why usually not always babies eat so little at a time. crazy how diagrams work huh

@kreeblim, It's okay. I know that I'm doing right by my daughter and know my facts. It is so easy to overfeed a baby, especially with a bottle. They drink so fast that their brain doesn't have time to register they're full.

You cannot over feed a baby . My daughter the first day she was born she was drinking an ounce and sometimes a bit more .. And my doctor at the hospital didn't give me sh** about her eating too much . So as long as you give your baby a little break in between so she can see if she/he needs more then your fine . My daughter till this day is doing great in weight she's right on . And she's always ate more than these "special charts" say.

@meagansimone, I'm so sorry she said insinuated you were starving your baby I know you already know you aren't but for the first two days of my babies life I fed her hand expressed colostrum out of a 5ml syringe so that's def not a 2oz bottle and it's what my nurse gave me €_€ you're info is correct.

It's not starving the baby. A newborn baby doesn't need 4 oz. Formula is not as nutritious as breastmilk so formula fed babies require more to get the necessary nutrients. That's why they give them so much formula. It does overfeed and stretch a babys tummy. Why don't you go check the AAP and WHO on your facts .

lol @meagansimone , so you are telling me that it's okay to starve a baby? bc 5-7 ml isn't normal for a baby every 1-2hrs. even at the hospital they tell you to feed the baby with 2oz bottle ( witch i have seen a mew born drink a full 4 oz bottle with in 2hr period of time).

It does apply to real babies. It isn't just the wic office who gives out this information. @tinushja84 Overeeding is real and you can stretch a a babys tummy

@meagansimone, , this doesn't apply to REAL BABIES, this is what the WIC program uses so that the child wouldn't grow fat not bc of the health of children.

it depends on a child @pteliza13 , my child were/are breastfeeding only but as for niece and nephew as well as other children they did drink 2-4 oz every 2 hrs on their first month as they grew of course the amount increased 😀
