My cat loves my daughter. He was always around her he tried laying in the crib with her too (always took him out). If you are unsure have someone bring a baby blanket from the hospital that the baby used and have the cat sniff it and try to get use to the baby smell
Before my baby was born we let the cat in the crib just so he got used to it being there but he only did that for the first couple days. My cat watches out for my daughter every day
When I had my daughter 9 years ago my cat at the time peed on a whole bunch of her things. I ended up having to find a home for her. I'm praying my kitty now doesn't react that way but I doubt it cuz I've got a 7 year old and 9 year old who he's good with.
He loves trying to jump in his crib 🙄 we had an old bassinet we tried with the baby and ended up not using it so the cat sleeps in it in the basement, other than that he likes to sniff and rub his head on baby's feet or he'll lay at them when he's on his activity mat.

lol, I can let you know tomorrow! I have 2 cats, but my baby had been in the NICU for the last 2 weeks and 5 days, he comes home tomorrow.

thats my concern, my cat already like to try and lay in her things, but i always take her out. and ill forsure have to try that! @countrymama2015

I have three and they pay no attention to him unless he's crying. But even then they keep their distance.
