@emmajeremy2627, I already had an appointment made since its to check to make sure everything closed up fine after the surgery, but I'm going to call in the morning to see of they'll see me sooner than Thursday. no hot or redness. I didn't even know there was pus until the glue came off. I told my doctor at the last appointment that they itch and she said that's good and means they're healing.
@emmajeremy2627, I thought even if there's just pus it means infection? I never had to deal with all this recovery from surgery so I'm not really sure what it suppose to happen or not.
@squishy3, no smell. its like red where the glue/stitches would've been but more inside the hole, but no smell. I'm thinking maybe its from water getting in there while I shower and it just stays in there or something but I'll see what the doctor says.
I honestly think your fine.. As long as its not painful either from what you had felt days earlier.. I've had plenty of surgeries always as a sick kid and it's kind of obvious when it's infected... I had one infection and we caught it pretty fast.
@squishy3, yea, this was my first surgery(gallbladder removal) so I am clueless about my incisions, I always ask at my appointments, but they always say it looks good. they just told me of I start to get pus, redness, tender to touch, even fever to let them know because of infection.
Yes that's pretty much it... Now that you said gallbladder I have gall stones myself but they haven't bothered me yet so hope fully i won't need surgery:)
@squishy3, as long as you can keep up with healthy diet, you should be fine. I found out in January because I had an attack in December, and since then everything has been fine, but then I drank a cup of whole milk and had a really bad attack that made me sick(the fluids from the gallbladder went into my stomach) so it was kind of an emergency to remove it. I was against surgery when I found out but at least now I can eat what I want lol. has your doctor talked to you about the diet yet?

It usually has a smell to it if it's pus and red around the incision..
