do kittens have toxo if locked up in a cage and eat only cat food?? the kittens have never ate any un cooked meat but moist food but one has the runs. the only thing I can think of is the food. I am currently having to take care of a kitten who has the runs.

Wet food also can cause it.. I'd try dry kitten food, or a good brand of wet food, like blue buffalo, natures balance, ect.. Basically foods that have good ingredients in them, and no animal byproducts or corn

As long as the litter stays clean, you shouldn't have a issue.. When I had cats, I only put about 1in to 2in of litter in the box, and completely emptied the litter every couple of days with fresh litter.. That kept the cat pee smell away, and is much healthier.

If your having to change the litter, is wear a mask, and change it in fresh air only...

Try giving them some dry food and see if that helps the runs. If the dry food I too hard for them to chew just moisten it with a little lukewarm water :) when I worked as a vet assistant that seemed to help younger animals like kittens and puppies if they had the runs. However the runs could also be caused by certain types of worms, have they been dewormed yet?

they haven't been de wormed yet and I took away the moist food because it gave them the runs then one by one kept dying. I'm down to 3 kittens out of 7. I put warm water in it.
