My inlaws are throwing me one and I felt the same way :( my family lives to far away to come and I don't have many friends here so it feels silly ecspecially because they still occasionally call me my husband's ex's name :/

I didnt have much family to begin with then my mom moved to Iowa. I dont talk to my other family, my boyfriend only has a handful of family here because he's from Texas and moved to Michigan 6 years ago. And between the both of us we don't have many friends. His mom wants to invite her coworkers and stuff but shes not helping with the planning, and shes not helping pay for it and were on a tight budget as is. I dont want to pay for this babyshower then only have a handful of people show up when that money could have been used on baby stuff. @1sttimemummy

That's completely understandable! If I was paying for my own I wouldn't have one. My in laws offered to pay and host it at their house because they'll be like 10 people :/ it's depressing realizing you don't have anyone.... I'm sorry you're in that situation as well :/
