Can I ask you ladies something, and possibly have an adult conversation about it? I don't have many…

I believe that what people tell you is bs because she's your daughter you can put earrings on her if you want, it's not cruel. Until she's grown and if she doesn't want them on then she can have them off. Plain and simple. It's not cruel.

I mean I never heard of that being cruel. It's no different than getting a shot as far as pain goes. Is that cruel?

I'm waiting until she wants them done but that's only because that's what my parents did for my sister and i. but I think you should do what you want to do. I think babies with pierced ears are so cute! I don't think it's cruel in any way they don't even feel it. It's your baby don't listen to what others say!

Forget what they say she your kid and you carried and gaved birth to her so their opinion really don't matter and it shouldn't. My mom pierced my ears when I was few months old and I'm doing the same for my son when he a few months old and he won't mess with it

It's like those people that say that giving your baby vaccines is bad and all this stuff. It's your decision not theirs lol @babyboubou

When I had my daughter I knew I wanted to get her ears pierced (in my family it is tradition for the Abuela to take the baby girl to get it done), but I was amazed at how controversial it is! We got my daughter's ears pierced at 6 months and I don't regret it at all. I had mine done as a baby and was never mad about it!

I plan on getting my little girls ears pierced if her dad agrees to it as well. it would be easier. I always wanted mine pierced growing up but was terrified of getting them done! if I'd had them done while I was little I would of been happy.

@lkmama, I had mine done at three, but I remember it being very traumatizing even though I'd asked for it, so I want to spare my daughter from that. :)

after her first hole, then it will be up to her if she wants more or not. ....

Exactly! I am so grateful I don't remember the pain since I was a baby lol! I feel the same way, if she wants anything else, that's completely up to her :)

I got all my vaccines and nothing happened to me lol. People overreact and it's just ridiculous haha you'll be good. It's a great idea to give your daughter earrings around that time (: @babyboubou

I got mine pierced at 16, my marching band leaders weren't too happy about it but oh well I didn't really care

not really I didn't have much interest til I was in my teens anyway

We got my daughters ears after he first round of shots. She was 3 months old. She didn't even cry. And now she like picking out earrings to wear.

I want to do that with my daughter but my fiancé is kind of against it he wants her to decide for herself. So me and him have to come to an agreement. Do what you feel in your heart momma! And if she gets older and doesn't want it pierced anymore she can let it close simple as that. :)

@sarah528, did you find it easier to care for than say a toddler or older child? just curious. ....

@lexirosex3, thanks girl :) that's my thought too .....worse case it doesn't close and she has a tiny barely noticeable hole in her ear (like me) (I barely wear any earrings lol)

I found it easier as a baby, she didn't mess with them at all. And they healed. She is now 3. And will occasionally take her earring out

I have 4 girls and I got all of them ears pierced after four months and they love earrings

I barely wear earrings either lol I've never liked how I looked with them and I am actually tom boyish I'm into sports and all that good stuff I'm not really a GIRLY GIRL lol.. So jewelry wasn't my thing.

@rachel144, yeah idk if I've ever heard of a little girl being mad her ears were pierced, but I know 99 percent of girls that don't have them done want them anyway, so I didn't see the harm in getting rh em done early but I wanted to see if I was alone in my thoughts......guess not :D

My daughter got hers pierced at 2 months.Its better to do it while they're younger.( what my mom always said)

to me its your child you do as you wish for your child I am sure she will thank you later in life my mom did mine and all nine of my sisters when we where like 4 months old

its your baby. nobody on this planet has the right to tell you yes or no about any decision u choose to make. im having a son and im going to pierce his ear nothing anybody czn say to make me change my mind either. its just up to u in the end.

My first daughter had hers done as soon as the first set of vaccines were done ( I'm pretty sure she was only a few months old) my second daughter was a premie so I had to wait a little longer .... It's definitely moms preference. I was born in 83 and the nurses did mine in the hospital... You do what you want!!!
