Ok ladies, I am trying to remember the name of a medicine I was given when I had my son and I cannot remember what it was called. It is a medicine that helps soften up your cervix and start effacing and dilating. I had 2 different kinds. One was called Cervidil and the medicine is on a string (kind of like a tampon) and they can remove it if something goes wrong. But the one I'm trying to think of is a pill that they insert vaginally. Does anyone know?

@arivera64, I think that is probably it though. As I research and read further there seem to be opinions and medical reviews ranging all over the place about it.

@arivera64, that sounds like it, but I looked it up on google and now I'm not so sure. The name sounds very familiar and the articles say that it is sometimes used for induction, but that is not what it is supposed to be used for.
