What u guys think about this as a mothers ? They wants to do a transgender bathroom at schools !!! I'm not a judge…

nope! teenagers/children aren't mature enough yet. I understand some have gender identity issues, but they're still to young to know for sure, and then they have their phones always recording each other and posting online.

@lizzyc09, @kelseys that's exactly what I thinks and also this open up a door into other situations like rape and early pregnancies.

I think in a high school it would be pushing it but i can see why some would want that. in lower grade schools? no way.

As an advocate of trans rights I think it's incredibly cruel to automatically assume "rape" between the children (and adults even) as though trans people, children especially, just go around raping people. Especially when body curiosity already goes on in school bathrooms anyway. Little girls and little boys (in their designated bathrooms) become very curious about each other's bodies and already check each other out. Not to mention all the things that go on outside of the bathrooms. Especially in middle school. Point blank, your kids are already out there doing things you don't want them too. But a trans kid, already scared to pieces about their identity, walks in and suddenly everyone is afraid? What I especially don't understand is that people are raising their children especially (their little girls) to fear rape/molestation instead of teaching their children not to rape. This is not to say that rape is not a possibility. But people seem to forget that rape is already happening. But because of a trans person's involvement, suddenly everyone is in fear of rape?  With that being said, the only reason I see flaws in unisex bathrooms is because I fear for the safety of the trans child. Not all children are raised aware of transgendered people and children that are may be taught negative things about them. Children and could very possibly become confused. Most children when they are confused become afraid or go on to bully the trans child.  Same thing that happened with little boys in their bathrooms. Some boy has a smaller build than all the other boys so he gets teased and perhaps smacked around. Can't even begin to imagine what would happen if a trans boy were in the bathroom. My thoughts are that children simply don't always know how to handle situations properly (not that all adults do either but, I digress). Children should be taught FIRST. Then, when they are of consent with fully formed consciences, then I believe it's safer to do so.

However, as I think about it there are ways to make it safer for trans children and cis children. There should be stalls with full doors on them (no locks for younger children but locks for older children because of privacy concerns). There should be unisex sinks for all to use and bathroom a monitor (by monitor I mean a person, not a camera) sitting just outside the bathroom door. That, I think, can work out. A lot of daycares require that now anyway.

@mrsmamagryffindor, maybe u don't get the point of rape I'm not saying transgender are going to rape the other , maybe I don't explain my self kids now in days have a crazy minds and some of them can just take advantage of the situation to do stuff they not supposed to do and I know the problem is not just the bathroom the real problem is in their houses the way they are educated but like in early school I think kids don't even now their sexuality get .

Sexuality and gender identity are two completely different subjects. Whether trans children truly know their identities yet doesn't mean you should limit their options while they're trying to figure it out.

A cis boy could just as easily rape a trans girl if they were forced to use that bathroom. So the issue of rape is still on the table....

This is like religion and politics people never going to be all in one position that's why we all deferent cuz every body. Has a different point of see stuff and I do respect ur opinion even though I don't share 100% with u @mrsmamagryffindor
