you get a shot. I get a shot when I'm pregnant cause I am O- and you get a shot when you have a miscarriage or ectopic and after you give birth

@evaja0218, okay thank you! They made it sound like my baby was in danger or something bad will happen to her if I'm negative. Kinda made me worry. Hopefully I'm positive so I don't have to worry about it 😓

It's not that bad, I'm negative, it doesn't affect your first child, they give you a Rogham shot at 28 weeks and then 3 days after baby is born. Basically negative blood types are more rare so if some reason you and your first babies blood(which is likely to be positive) mix during labor etc. your body starts building up antibodies against positive blood so next time when you get pregnant there's a chance that your body will recognize that your babies blood is different from yours and will see it as a "threat" and will try to fight it off, which can lead to miscarriages etc. but the Rogham shot is suppose to reduce that risk. I know a lot of moms her are RH - with multiple kids. Don't stress too much about it. I'm negative and 34 weeks and it hasn't affected me or baby at all.

@alyssabrittany, okay good thank you. I really appreciate you explaining it to me and making me feel at ease. I'm a first time mom so I'm learning about all of this. So thank you!
