I'm so confused ladies, my friend (who stopped speaking to me while I was pregnant) finally came back on the scene. She's seen Jayce twice. I took him round to her house once for an hour and her boyfriend was there and they kept holding him and his dummy kept falling out onto their clothes and they just put it straight back in his mouth, I sat watching just so on edge and itching to have him back in my arms! Now, she keeps messaging me asking if she can have him for a few hours just her and her boyfriend and it just makes me so panicky, like I actually have knots in my stomach thinking about it, she is always messaging me asking if I feel ready to leave him and stuff. How do I stop this? I've told her I don't feel ready to leave him but she still says "well let me know when you are and we'll take him off your hands for a few hours" is she being friendly and helpful or really pushy? Because to me it feels pushy.. Actually feel sick thinking about leaving him with them😞

Personally I wouldn't! But it's how you feel! I would only leave my baby with my parents and that's only because in going back to work after 9 months @beccastirlingx xxx

I seriously don't want to, like atall. The only person I trust with him is my mum, but even if she's away too long I start to panic! I just don't understand why she's being so pushy @lauren1996 xxx

Hmm, makes you think aswell when she didn't speak to you when you were pregnant but now he's here all of a sudden she wants to look after him!! Weird that is? 🤔 @beccastirlingx xxxx

She is being pushy if she keeps asking despite the fact that you've already said no. You don't have to leave your baby with anyone until you are ready. In fact you don't ever have to leave your child with someone you don't feel comfortable leaving them with, whether they're a newborn or practically a teenager x

@lauren1996, I know that's what I thought! Just bloody typical isn't it?? @hrbn2 I've no idea why I don't want to leave him with them, it's not so much her, it's her boyfriend! He's so strange and very creepy.. I didn't feel comfortable in his company atall.. X

If she can't accept you don't want to, and you don't feel comfortable leaving him unless it's family and nor understand then she's not a friend at all. Just be honest about how you feel hun. I couldn't do it either and out of all my friends I have, and that's just a few real ones. I could easily say no way to them without them getting weird. Xx

I don't understand why she wants him on her own with the boyfriend I wouldn't be comfortable with it lol friend or not, just tell her you're not ready you're still bonding with him xx

oh my god. it's like people think they have rights to him. he's your kid. I know this feeling. Then your made out that your 'over protective' or as I was told 'your not the only person in the world to ever have a baby' hahaha. He is YOUR son. If she keeps saying let me know when your ready I would just say in a jokey way 'i will do, probably be when he's 20 haha' make it clear it's not gonna happen any time soon if ever. Feel for you, know this feeling well. Plus the weird boyfriend can piss of. Its like they wanna play family's with your child. Im annoyed for you lol xx

@byoungx, that's exactly what it's like! You actually got it in one!!!!! "Can piss off" absolutely amazing. Hahaha! It's like she thinks because I'm a single parent I'm struggling when I'm really not hahaha! But thank you so much, so glad to know I'm not the only one that gets this! It's quite rude actually! Xx

I just know the feeling well. If your anything like me youv maby made a comment about how hard it is being a mum and she's now using that as an excuse to act like she's 'giving you a break'. I've actually had people make out im severely depressed and I NEED help. It got to the stage I started believing them. Too many people want to take over when a babies around. Don't let them and if your struggling, as bad as it sounds don't let anyone know apart from like your mum etc cos then people can turn it and act like they are 'helping' you. Your doing a fab job and if you need a break youv got your mum etc. Don't ever be forced into something that makes you uncomfortable hun. Hope it sorts itself out and she gets the hint xx

Defo sounds like her and her man want to play families with your son. Oh ya boy, I'd be fuming, especially since she dropped you when you were pregnant and now she's all over you like a rash just because you've had your baby, that's not a real friend. Drop subtle hints that your not ready to let him go to anybody yet, tell her it takes you to let your mum look after him never mind anyone else. xxxx

@kim.m., I'm going to ignore it from now on, I thought I was being silly looking at it like the rest of you ladies but obviously not! Thank you! Xx

I'm in a similar situation right now, my friend is constantly wanting to see us and us to go round to there house. He then gets moody if we refuse! Their flat is dirty and I'm no clean freak but I hate taking my baby there :( plus he just picks my daughter up without checking with us, even if she is asleep and will wake her up, plus I'm on edge whenever he is holding her as he never supports her head properly and it just seems like she flops around. my partner doesnt understand why I'm being so off about it as he says that he's our friend so he's fine. I have avoided seeing them for a week but my partner is nagging to go round tonight and I don't know what to do about it anymore. I hate seeming like the clingy mum but I just feel so uneasy about it. :/
