When do the drs start doing other things other than check your weight, blood pressure and listen to the heartbeat of your baby at your checkups?! I have an appointment tomorrow morning and I'm 32 weeks now and I wanna not show up if that's all there gunna do again.. The appointment goes so fast and I don't hear any new progress except she is good.. Like I want more information especially since I'm getting closer to my date..

Same thing I'm wondering ... Go next week I'll be 33 weeks and I'm sick of showing up for a 5 min appointment 🙄

group B strep they swab inside your vjj to see if you test positive for it, it's a type of bacteria some women have. if you do then they'll know to give you an iv of an antibiotic when you're in labor

some doctors so that around 32 weeks to. mine don't I don't think but my cousins doctor did, to see about how much the baby was weighing. @msshannmommy2b

you should always go to your appointments...most likely it will be the same but they check your wight, blood pressure, and heart beat of baby to make sure and is something is wrong it's off to l and d. I was going to NSTs twice a week with appointments and she was awesome week after week and even though I was high risk I had a great healthy pregnancy...at 38 weeks she failed the NST. I was to be monitored and two days later was induced. she's was healthy but I thought the same...why do I have to go, I drove 45 minutes when I was done in 30 lol.

they should be doing it soon then usually in your 8th month they test. It's nothing bad if you do, I had it with my son and I assume I may have it this time also. but we'll see next month

around 36 to 37 weeks they do group b strep test and check your hemoglobin 38 weeks and beyond they will begin checking your cervix for ripening. hey don't feel bad I'm 37 weeks will be 38 in 2 days but my doc appointments are all usually short and simple my doc just checks my vitals weight babies heart rate and measures my belly and that is all it seems there should be more to it but they don't really have to do much more unless there is a concern like maybe babies heart rate was too low or you didn't feel your baby moving then they would probably do more.
