What are the facts on unprotected sex shortly after having a baby? Is it true your more fertile in the first 6 weeks ect?

Your cervix is still open in the first few months after giving birth vaginally so as @jod1303 says increased risk of infection. Also you are extremely fertile after giving birth

The first few months after giving birth are one of the most fertile times for a woman. If a you're breastfeeding, generally speaking, it is highly unlikely that you'll will get pregnant but obviously still a chance it can happen. xx

Yes I do believe you are the most  fertile in the first 6 weeks after birth that's what my midwife told me x
