it's been a whole day of trying to ripen my cervix and I'm only up to about 1 and still firm. it's been almost 24 hours since I came in and I've only had a few contractions. I'm uncomfortable and hungry but I know I don't want to be sent home to progress by myself. it's been 6 hours since they last checked me for dilation and I'm just hoping that I've at least made some kind of progress. fingers crossed. my baby is so close to being here but It's taking too long
