How can you tell if your water has broken? What does the fluid look and smell like?

It's clear or should be. And won't smell or will have have a slightly sweet odor to it. It usually will leak for hours and really does feel like ur just going to the bathroom and can't stop it. More than just regular discharge. Ur mucous plug passes beforehand.
