Question? Today my doctor made me schedule all my appt till baby arrives even one after my due date just In case. I expressed today I don't wish to be induced period however I don't wish to go over but I know only God is in control she expressed she could sweep my membrane at an earlier date to get things started. Question is how long did it take to go into labor after that?

some people said the day after, 2 days or a wk everyone's different but I think quite a few delivered no more than a wk

@pretti_preggo, Ok just curious it's not til August but I'm wondering if I should change my dates slightly. I want to have him August 31 or before. I have appt August 30 and August 26 that's a Friday they wouldn't do a Friday then a Monday to close together but I'm scared if dr don't do it until the 30th I may miss my deadline. Should I change the 26 appt to earlier that week so that I could have my last appt before my due date the 29 and I will have till 31 to have him.

oh ok cool im having my girl the same day (hopefully) but if you don't want to go over then yes change to an earlier date because there is no telling if the sweep will work immediately after at least you should have him by your deadline and if it does work immediatelu then you won't be too early if not at least you tried but your Dr will most likely still want to have that appt. set up after your due date just in case
