Today I went to my anatomy scan 18 weeks 6 days and doctor said that everything on my baby boy looked good except that he saw EIF on his left ventricle. They had done blood work for down syndrome already and test came back good. And now they doing a more accurate test for it and will have results in 2 weeks. I'm really scared of what he said of EIF even though he said I shouldn't worry. Has anyone else experienced this? ☹️

Elliot had a white spot in his heart at 22 weeks. We did the genetic testing and it came back normal so my Dr wasn't concerned. He was my high risk Dr. I talked to my regular ob at my next appt with her and she said it was a weak marker for DS. I was so scared. At 32 weeks I was admitted, they did an ultrasound and the spot was gone, they saw where it used to be but it wasn't there anymore. Elliot was born, and he doesn't have DS
Same thing happened to me. It's likely just a shadow. If the DS test came back negative, you are pretty much in the clear. They are just legally bound to tell you of anything they find. My baby boy is perfectly healthy and should be here any day now.
