My sister gave her baby one and he doesn't get confused I think it depends on the baby

I didn't want to give my daughter one but even my nurses said her sucking was so powerful that she'll be fine. And she doesn't confuse the two at all!! She knows what's her nummys and what's her paci :)

Mines didn't want anything to do with one for awhile probably until 2 months and it wasn't all the time about 6ish or 7ish months her binkies became her best friends

It really depends on your baby. My daughter did, my son didn't. My daughter was easier to breastfeed. My son was a "snacker" and would fall asleep on the boob 🙄 so I ended up pumping and giving him breastmilk out of a bottle almost exclusively. Definitely talk to the nurses and doctors in the hospital and pay attention to your instinct with your baby. ☺️
