I am! My Mom and dad had the same problem with me. They either found shoes that I didn't need socks with or made me put them on myself. I still hate socks and carpets and absolutely cannot wear socks without having shoes on and even the socks I wear I am super picky about what kind I will wear and how to put them on.

I'm thinking now that it's warmer I will take her sandal shopping, find her a few different pairs that she can choose from.

Have you had your child tested for spd?? My son has it and there is a ton of things that go along with it and this can be one of them

@mandy890, you mean split personality disorder?? She hasn't been tested for anything as far as I know. Her mother is very resistant to helping her. She wants her to be "perfect"

No sensory processing disorder. Look it up online. My son was diagnosed at 2. He's now 6 and we have learned to manage ALOT. His biggest one is his food aversion.

I had a similar problem as a child and still do to this day. When I put on socks they have to be on PERFECTLY like the line that is on the sock that is up by the toes has to be perfectly lined up and the heel part needs to be snug and not loose. If my parents put my socks on wrong when I was little I would have a complete meltdown. To this day I have to have socks on perfectly but I ended up growing out of the meltdowns haha. Sorry I can't be of much help!

It's that line in the socks that causes the most problems. She hates it, but seamless socks don't fit right. 😔

my nephew is 4 and he hates pants ,socks, boots anything touching his ankles he goes crazy and he will cry for hours it's horrible you have to hold him down to put pants on him😑 wish we new the reason

I had the same problem when i was younger. Anything that fir tight i could not stand! Pants, bras, socks, even my hair in a ponytail. You just have to be patient and find ways around it Still to this day i cant wear any socks unless there ankle socks and i prefer looser clothing. As soon as i get home im in my bfs t shirt and sweat pants.

Try letting her try on clothes before you buy them so she can tell you which ones feel to tight. She won't grow out of it but there are ways to make it manageable
