What to yall think about the emphasis that society puts on gender..? I'm struggling with this in my life right now because anything baby is either cute little princess or daddy's strong boy.. I want my baby to just be that. My baby. I recently looked through baby shower invites and all of them said "it's a girl!" or "it's a boy!" why do we celebrate either or and not just the prospect of a baby... They might as well say it has a penis! Or it has a vagina! Because gender norms are something that is taught. Not something that is inherent from our reproductive parts.
