It could potentially make your contractions stronger, throwing you into labor. Your doctor is just looking out for you and the welfare of your baby.

Just try to relax until you get the go ahead from your doctor mama. The last thing you want is a nicu/preemie baby. Also, just keep well hydrated... Maybe it's just Braxton hicks. 😉

idk they were picking them up on the monitor at the hospital but idk if they can pick up braxton hicks or not. my son is 6 pounds so far

they can try but there's no gurantee. Unless you want to risk the baby's life/health I suggest you listen to your doctor. It's not worth it just for a few minutes of feeling good

They'd probably give you shots to stop it, but why would you risk it?

Sadly, ultrasounds aren't very accurate in baby's weight, as it can be off by +/- 2 pounds. And it's mostly their lungs that you want fully mature before them being born... In about 2 or 3 weeks, have all the sex you want hun lol. A full term baby , 40 weeks or so is ideal... But, 37 is good enough usually. Doctors can stop labor sometimes. It may or may not work. At 34 weeks, your baby has some maturing to do still, but if they were to be born, their survival rate is very high and the chances of them having anything severely wrong from being premature is very slim.
