ask for a sweep, I am getting swept soon. :) I heard its just uncomfortable like a pap.Hopefully someone can tell you for sure girl

@hermommy, my doc never mentioned it to me is it something we gotta ask for? With my other 3 they just induced me so this is new to me lol

you can ask. It's uncomfortable but more painful if you're not dilated much. It doesn't always work. I got it done with all 3 of my pregnancies (twice with my last one and still went overdue) and it never worked for me. Sex always put me into labor tho

@mommyof3boys1girl hmm, I think it depends on the doctor, mine offered it with all the issues I've been having to avoid induction. But definitely ask:) and after they do it stay super super active. I think more doctors just aim for induction :)

@arivera64, im almost 38 weeks 1cm n cervix thick wit all my others i just got induced ima have to ask! @hermommy i will ask thank you!!! I always go past my due date my kids r just comfy in there lmao

I was finally 3-4 cm dilated. got my membranes swept yesterday. very uncomfortable and cramping after but if you want your baby out get it done if it works or not it wont hurt to try

I was at like 1.5 cm for weeks too. walk walk walk walk. I'm finally at 3-4cm
