@junesmommy15, yes ma'am I just got out of the military and was trying to re establish myself. I got pregnant using birth control so this came as a huge surprise

I mean why would they be disappointed? You're grown. and you have plenty of time to prepare yourself and be out of their home before the baby is born.

Oh ok. Still, you are grown. I think parents know most of the time before we even tell. Usually it's the moms though. Your dad must keep a close eye on his baby girl.

@mommyof20816, I know I'm 23 years old it's just because I'm not dating the guy and he has decided not to be in the baby's life. my mom also wasn't the conventional mom but that's a whole separate subject. but she'd say I was a whore and that I'd never amount to anything but white trash, or that i was ugly at the age of 12. she just idk what she thinks sometimes

Girl sometimes it's best to not have him there. I was 17 when I had my daughter and raised her on my own even when she was diagnosed with leukemia. What people call you doesn't define who you are. Just let this baby be your motivation for you to get on your feet and let he/she know that they have mama if they don't have anybody else.

Girl , my mom found out on her own from my insurance company when I was 17 weeks . I was walking thru Sam's club when she asked me , I damn near pissed myself when she asked .

Tell her to take a breath before she responds! My mom has that problem too with just flying off the handle and saying some terrible shit. I talked it out with her a few years ago and now I just ask her to swallow before she speaks and it usually ends up a little better

@lexdotjayy, lol I was totally not expecting him to ask either I was shell shocked like uhh. I was trying to wait til the second trimester to tell them because I have a history of miscarriages but my dad has to go be psychic and shit lol

@kellyl22, that's good advise thanks. all words spoken good or bad has a way of affecting people. I have to learn this still and I hope my mom is a bit more accepting

she's a healthy 8yr old now...been in remission going on 3yrs in october. We have check ups every 3 months and that's it.

I tried to wait til I knew the gender but that got fucked up . then I just found out I'm having a girl & I wanted to tell her but my dumbass aunt opened her mouth .

@jadedplumeria, I know all parents are different and you know yours best. When I got pregnant both times I just told my mom as soon as I found out knowing she'd flip. I'm married and don't live with her anymore so I just got it over with thinking she's mad now but will get over it. The first time she went off on me twice and didn't talk to me for 2 weeks and after that she was fine started making sure I had prenatals made baby clothes and everything. This time she just asked why we were telling her and she wasn't mad. My husband told her both times. She's excited and said if I had another right after this one she wouldn't be mad but I can't handle 3 kids yet I haven't even had my second lol but I hope you find a way to tell her it'll all be okay especially by the time your baby gets here 😊
