Ladies what did early labour feel like for you? I've been having these pains on and off since Sunday now but have got worse over the days and woke up last night with worst lower back ache and urge to run to the loo but couldn't go
The pain isn't intense it's more like a period pains still but doctor did say it's most likely the start of something
How did you get things progressing was your cervix still closed ? Sorry for all the questions I know every birth is different but want to know what everyone had been through :)

@holliesinead, for me, I got a sweep at 40+2 and was 1cm dilated but cervix was still quite far back. Lost a little plug but nothing to get excited about. Had an appointment for 42+2 but that's when I gave birth anyway. Anyway, at 42+1, at around 12pm, I had horrific stomach cramps, like I had the runs, then I ran to the toilet and it was like a tap, I couldn't stop it. This went on for around an hour 2 hours, that was my clear out (that's supposed to be classed as early labour) but had no significant pain, just little twinges and cramps here and there. Went to bed, the next morning I had 2 small brown blobs on my knickers, thought nothing of it and carried on with my day. At 3pm, I felt "odd" down there, like sticky and wet - I had lost my plug! And 2 hours later, contractions started. I never really experienced early labour so hope someone can be more help but hopefully you have an idea of what to look out for! Good luck xx
