My daughter sucked her thumb in the womb I saw this every time we did a sonogram so I knew she would for sure get a paci. However when she was a year and we tried to take it away she went right for her thumb, so we tried again at 18 months and same story. At 2 we were finally able to take it away with no thumb sucking. Every child is different and you can't take a thumb away. I think the sooner the better but the thumb is just as bad if not worse in my opinion.

Something so weird is , my baby girl WOULD SCREAM if she didn't have it the extra week in nicu , as soon as she left the hospital now she hates it
