It honestly all depends. My daughter is 11 days old and we have gone through 30 size one diapers (at the hospital because they only use size one for babies) and we have been home for a week today and have gone through two packs of (48 count) newborn diapers and she's still in them. My daughter pooped alot when we got home because she had jaundice so it was all coming out but now she isnt pooping as much so we dont use as much. You might not be able to use them at all and you might use them all it just depends on how big the baby is when botn

we used maybe 2 boxes of newborns plus 1 in the nicu

Depends on how big your baby will be, you could always change her every time she goes pee if you want to ensure she uses them all. My first baby was 8lbs and only used newborn diapers for 2 weeks.

I only used one box of newborn diapers for a month

if you have 5 boxes I wouldn't buy anymore for now. Elliot was in nb diapers for almost 3 months

Oh okay , yeah because I was thinking that since they grow fast & all or if she came out big I'd need a bigger size . I just wish I had the receipt for some of these just in case but I don't 😕 then I wouldn't know what to do with the rest 😥

If your baby grows out of them before they're all gone take them to any store like walmart or target and say you got the wrong size, they'll take them back if the box is unopened and most likely will give you store credit or do an even exchange for the correct size. That's what i would do lol

you dont need the receipt to exchange for another size. If you want a different brand you just pay the difference if any. The barcode scans different at each store so target knows if they were purchased there babies r us would know if its theirs. I have a friend that didnt have a receit opened the box & 4 diapers in realized the baby was having a reaction the store still let her exchange for another brand. My daughter was premie so she was in nb for AWHILE my son was such a chunkster we used size 2 from birth lol

Yea you don't need it. They won't give you money back without the receipt but they will exchange it or give you store credit.. theyll put the money on a giftcard. As long as the store carries it and you tell them you got it there a couple days ago and lost the receipt they'll do it. I have a shelf my MIL got for us about a year ago and i just took it back like 2 months ago for a different color lol

Oh i dont know about the barcode thing tho..
