I did it. my baby is five days old!! && it hurts, but honestly so worth it!!

They shouldn't put you down like that, this is my first and I want to go natural

if you want go all natural, try it, you can always ask for epidural if it will be too much for you

I went to the hospital at the last minute on purpose and I survived in my opinion the only harsh part was when that head came out aka the ring of fire loooord but after she was out it was all over I'm doing the same thing this time too

just remember that it can take time for them to get the epidural to you. if the anesthesiologist is in a c section for example, you have to wait until it's done, or if there is a line of women waiting for meds, you just have to wait your turn. just something to keep in mind.

I did it twice natural with no epidural it was painful but by the time your in extreme pain your fully dilated anyway

I think it depends. I knew I wanted the epidural anyway, but because my labor was induced and slow to progress (after 2 1/4 doses of cytotec and 17 hours I had only gone from 1 1/2 cm to about 2 1/2 cm and softer but still not completely effaced) getting the epidural was the best feeling ever!!! But my contractions basically started and NEVER stopped (they weren't waves like normal it was like one long 17 hour contraction) once they gave me my epidural things started speeding up. My water broke on its own within 5-10 minutes and I went from 2 1/2 to 4 cm within 15. Unfortunately once they started increasing the pitocin my son got too stressed out and I had to have an emergency c section. I say try and go natural but if it's too much or depending on circumstances leave it as an option.

I had an epidural but I was in labor for nearly 3 days so they had disconnected it and by the time it was time to push I could feel my legs, but I don't think I could feel the full extent of it. It hurt, not nearly as bad as I expected but again I was still partially numb, the after labor was the worst and they don't give you an epidural for that lol. In my experience it really wasn't that bad. They wouldn't let me push at first because my doctor wasn't there yet and that was the worst, just a warning, I believe the most difficult part was my doctor pushing the placenta out but you will be so thankful afterwords. I would go with your gut momma!

Had my first two at home all natural, I was discouraged too by almost everyone but it was fine. It hurts but it's a journey pain for a purpose. I would not trade my two births for the world.
