So three days ago me and my hubby had unprotected sex and before I could even stop him he fumed inside after words a friend of mine gave me a birth control pill to help prevent anything from happening but will it even help I'm just so worried because I have a 7 week old and I just could handle taking care of him and being pregnant and then taking care of two babies

birth control doesnt work like that. you'd need a morning after pill

No. You can't just randomly start taking birth control. Also you don't know if the type she gave you is safe for your body. and don't rely on the pull out method if you don't want to get pregnant right now

if BC pills worked like that then women wouldn't have oops babies while taking them

Just a regular birth control pill? If so then no you have to be taking those for at least a cycle for them to work properly. If it was a plan B pill then yes it could help prevent it if it was taken within 48 hours of sex.

If you don't want another child right now it would probably be best to use some sort of BC, condoms, spermicide, diaphragm, IUD, patch, implant, pill, shot..

2-3 BC pills are the equivalent of the morning after pill
