Question!
I tried breast feeding when I was at the hospital but because she had jaundice and had to be out under the lights and the blanket they had me feed her bottles and when I tried to give her the boob she wouldnt take it. I have been pumping and I'm still getting milk alot of it, is there any way I can start breast feeding straight from the boob back up again? I feel horrible that the one thing I am supposed to be able to do myself without any help (feeding my daughter the "breast is best" way) and I feel absolutely terrible that I dont know how to start her back up

Ya re you pacing her bottles? if not, start now. not paci ng bottles can make her refuse the breast. Use an sns with your pumped milk to get her to latch. Keep trying.

i was the same way. My son was in the nicu do to jaundice as well and he got used to the bottles so he didnt learn to latch on my breast from the beginning. As a first time mom i was so confused and didnt know what to do but really all you have to do is just keep trying. She will eventually get the hang of it. It was very hard for me but now i have been exclusively breatfeeding for a little over 4 months. I was ready to give up at first but im glad i didnt because it was the best decision i could have made. Keep trying you can do it. Oh and the nipple shield helped me alot @rainbowbaby2015

totally possible. your pediatrician should have a lactation nurse or find a breastfeeding local group like la leche league. it helps to have someone watch the baby latch
