Natural contractions suck pretty bad too. I went into labor before m scheduled induction date and they still gave me pitocin. You'll do just fine. Get an epidural and you won't feel a thing

Just know you don't have to go along with it, just because it's your due date doesn't mean labor has to begin. I just know inducing can take up to 4 days before full dilation and it heavily relies on drugs like pitocin to keep it going. Don't let anyone talk you into it if you're not 100% sure. Induced labor causes more painful contractions then natural ones, too.

If you have had your cervix checked, stripping the membranes feels just like that, but a little more pressure, you have to relax so they can do it. If that itself doesnt throw you into labor, they will then use medication, like pitocin if you would like to look it up, to induce contractions, and full labor.

They will strip your membranes and give you medication to help start the labor process.
