If possible I would avoid it... My sister in law went natural with her first and didn't have to get induced and then went natural again with her second but they did induce her and she said that her second birth was probably 15 times worse than the first. She said the contractions came on way more intense than with her first and overall it was a much more painful situation than its supposed to be. Sometimes it's medically necessary to be induced, but if it's not, I would try to avoid it at all costs
My mom has done both a natural and induced labor. She said it didn't hurt any worse when being induced. I think a lot of it has to do with how dilated and effaced your cervix is. Of course it's going to feel horrible if your cervix isn't ready and you have this baby being pushed on it until it finally opens up. But if your cervix is already soft and dilated some I would think the baby would come faster making your contractions not last as long.
I'm getting induced tomorrow morning because dr thinks it's necessary, 40 weeks today baby is out of room on my cervix and up under my ribs and we aren't even beginning to thin. you are more then welcome to message me tomorrow and or monday with any questions!
We have been here since 648 am yesterday. we have finally made it to a 3 today. they gave us a pill behind my cervix (3 times 4 hours apart And had to be laying down 2 hours after inserted so it desolved and didn't fall out) they only helped me speed up contractions and get them where I feel them. they helped ripen my cervix. Baby has been low. pitocin started at about 130 this monring. it began aching then. I'm tired but that's because I've been trying to help things along. water "broke" (leaking) at 430 this morning. had two doses of pain killer in my iv before the pitocin really hit. had an epidural put in with a not great experience but that's my fault because I couldn't sit still due o contractions. if i decide another one next baby I will get it ALOT sooner . now we are finishing waiting. bored.

Basically they put Pitocin or another labor inducing drug in your IV, and after a while labor starts to progress.

No... I didn't go through it, but i was there when they induced my sister. It actually makes it quicker. But yeah I would try to avoid it too.

Not after. Least not what I was told the pain I would feel is. it is more from sitting in bed for two days.
