I had my first Braxton hicks today! it felt like a tightening around my entire belly and I couldn't move for a sec. then it felt like a pain inside by my cervix kinda. it didnt feel very good. lasted for a minute. then it went away and never came back. the difference is that real contractions don't go away. they keep coming usually starting around 20 to 30 mins apart. Braxton hicks usually go away with walking or a glass of water and kicking your feet up.
if you're having regular contractions, 5.1.1 is the rule for when to go to the hospital. 5 minute apart contractions lasting at least 1 minute each continously for 1 hour. before then you can stay home and relax in your own surroundings.
Like a cramp but not in one spot it's like all over. if you can't walk and you gotta stand still for a sec and your stomach feels rock hard and your back feels a little achy, that's most likely a contraction
I think real contractions are more intense than BH. BH feels like your stomach getting really tight, not very painful just uncomfortable. Labor contractions are usually said to be more intense and closer together
A contraction for me felt like a tightening starting at the bottom of my stomach with a menstrual cramp pain and as the contractions intensifies the tight feeling would move up my stomach up to my ribs and the menstrual like cramps would get worse. Hold for a little bit then start to go away.

I feel like contractions feel like a stomach virus cramp. Idk if you ever had a stomach virus but your stomach hurts soooo bad.
