I didn't think a hospital could turn down an ultrasound if the mother said she feels she needs one!?…

What medical do you have

@twinmommy937, insurance? medicaid. the thing is, I've had two ultrasound early in my pregnancy and they told me he had renal pelviectasis on the second one and never did another to see if it disappeared on its own or not. so I'm worried.

Oh wow I have medicaid too and it's through caresource they're starting to get petty on ultrasound scans my Dr has to force them to give me another weight ultrasound in 2 weeks with twins! If something like that is wrong with the baby they need to check you. Have you talked to your ob about it?

I have medicaid and my dr gives me one every 2-4 weeks

@twinmommy937, not yet. I see my doctor monday so I'm going to talk to him. and @cocored55 see I wish. freaken Arkansas is a joke. I'm high risk due to preterm labor from 22weeks and then him having problems... you would think they would allow me to have one. they said his heart beat looks great and he sounds so very healthy but I just feel like I need to double check before he is born. and if something is wrong and it hurts my baby I swear on everything this hospital will be put down to the ground cause I'll make sure everyone knows how low they are for not listening to a mamas needs!

uh I'd contact a different ob I wish u were here I'd refer u to mine being how if I request a ultrasound he will just do it to ease my mind also I lost a baby at 18 weeks to omphalocele and my dr always trys to ease my mind so I'm not anxious about baby ! ur dr should take ur concerns seriously ! also go to the er they might do one there if u say u haven't felt baby moving as mich and tell the dr u would like to make sure he's ok by ultra sound s9meones gotta listen to u !

@cocored55, I'm in l&d right now. every time I go to the ER they send me here. and I completely understand your concerns. I've lose two but very early on and I'm terrified of having stillbirth or something. and I literally just switched OB's two weeks ago due to nobody wanting to just ease my mind. they just talk to me and say something would be wrong with his fetal heart beat if something was wrong with him. which is so not true...

I know finances are probably tight but u can pay for one it's 80 bucks and a 4d is 100

@cocored55, I had one done but she told me her office wasn't for medical purposes it was strictly experience. I'll check in with my doctor Monday and if he won't then I'll check somewhere else. the least they can do is do it so my anxiety isn't up worried about if my baby will be healthy or not when he is born any day note
