how many of you used a vape while pregnant? what are yalls thoughts

Its nicotine, so it can still pass to the baby, I would quit if possible. I have never smoked, but I know vaping contains nicotine

my doctor said not to while pregnant... and there's no real proof it hurts an unborn baby yet but I'd say not to

honestly if there is no nicotine I don't see the harm. there's not any tobacco in it so the nicotine would be my only worry. but I'd ask a dr to be sure that the other stuff the liquid is made of doesn't hurt baby

@kelbyrundel, vapes do have nicotine in them, just not as much as a cigarette. that's why people who are trying to quit use them because you still get your nicotine fix but there isn't as much in it. it's not just air your blowing out. it's chemicals too. that can pass down to your baby. I definitely wouldn't use it.

@mcrowell0970, well either way even if you get the ones with out nicotine, it's still chemicals.

I haven't had a cigarette since finding out in was pregnant I tried chewing regular mint gum but this is hard!!!!

it's made from vegetable oil, flavoring, and nicotine if you want it, not all liquids have nicotine in them. My ex brother in law owns an ecig shop. Honestly I hit my boyfriends ecig every once in a while and don't see a problem with it, I don't smoke it all day long like he does though. Women smoke cigarettes through their entire pregnancy so I don't see the issue. I'd try to quit just like quiting regular cigarettes. I would think the smoke that comes with it would cause the baby to get less oxygen just the same as cigarette smoke.
